Saving web pages

Use our browser extension, bookmarklet, or PWA (mobile) to save items faster.

You have four options for saving items to your library:

  • Copy and paste
  • Browser extension
  • Bookmarklet
  • Progressive Web App (Android only)

Copy and paste

From the Niphtio app, there are two ways you can add items:

  1. With the Add item button
    1. Click Add item
    2. Paste the URL in the box and click Save
  2. With the search bar
    1. From the Niphtio app, paste the URL into the search bar.
    2. Click the button that says Add [your URL]

Browser extension

Our browser extension is the easiest way to save bookmarks to your reading list and add tags on the fly. Install our Chrome extension or our Firefox extension.

Multi tab saver

The browser extension also enables you to save and organize multiple tabs at the same time. Follow these steps to save multiple tabs with just a few clicks.

  1. Right click on the browser extension to bring up the extension menu
  2. Click on "Save multiple tabs" to trigger the multiple tab saver
  3. Select tags to apply to your new items
  4. Click "Save" when ready to save all the selected tabs to your personal library
  5. You will see a confirmation screen confirming the tabs that have been saved
  6. Click "Close current tabs" to close the saved tabs, or "See my items" to navigate to your personal library

Progressive Web App (Android only)

If you use Chrome on Android, you can install our progressive web app to instantly share links directly to Niphtio. Open this page on your Android device with Chrome to install.

What can be saved?

Any web page or file hosted online can be saved to Niphtio. Files that are stored locally on your computer cannot be saved to Niphtio.
